Due to an air-conditioning problem in the library, you might have seen us exploring different places to read the past two weeks! We had a few beautiful, cool mornings to enjoy reading outside before the heat of the afternoons returned. Thankful for our new air conditioner!!🙏😃

WHISPER!!

5K students use whisper phones as they quietly read aloud. As students whisper into the "phone" the sound is funneled directly into their ears, allowing them to focus on their reading voice.

District Spelling Bee

Congratulations to Zoie Murphree for winning 2nd place in the 6th grade competition at the District Spelling Bee. She will represent PDS at the State Spelling Bee. PDS school winners Annsley Tabb, 5th grade, and Schuler Weast, 4th grade, also competed on the district level.
